Throughcare

Throughcare

The Voluntary Throughcare Service offers support to people serving short term custodial sentences on whom statutory post-release supervision has not been imposed and covers their time both in custody and for 12 months post release. The service is designed to support community reintegration and rehabilitation.

Our participants face many challenges when rebuilding their lives after incarceration. That’s why we offer a wide range of services and support to ease the transition, improve outcomes, and reduce the risk of reoffending. Our work also extends to those currently involved in the criminal justice system in other ways such as people serving community-based sentences and we support people at risk or reoffending.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and community. We strive to help individuals not only reintegrate but thrive — contributing to a stronger, more supportive Inverclyde for everyone.
